PRODUCTS / TRIPLE-SCREW EXTRUDERS
A co-rotating, intermeshing triple-screw platform — the same building-block approach as our twin-screw machines, with a third screw shaft adding mixing surface and residence-time control for demanding compounding duties.
The triple-screw line extends our co-rotating, intermeshing extruder platform to a third screw shaft. The operating principle is the same as the SJSH twin-screw series: screw elements and barrel sections are assembled from a building-block system, so the process length can be arranged into conveying, melting, mixing, dispersing, homogenizing, devolatilization and pressure-building zones, and rebuilt when the product changes.
The machine is configured for a specific combination of mixing, plasticizing, pigmentation, filling, reinforcement and reclamation — matched to the material and the process at hand rather than supplied to a fixed template.
The triple-screw line runs alongside the rest of our extrusion platforms, and the right choice depends on the compound and the duty rather than on screw count alone:
| Platform | Character | Typically specified for |
|---|---|---|
| SJSH twin-screw | Modular, self-wiping, widest configuration range | General compounding, masterbatch, filled and reinforced compounds |
| DY high-torque twin-screw | Higher specific torque at the same screw size | Very high filler loadings, high-viscosity compounds, high output |
| Triple-screw | Additional screw shaft — more mixing surface per unit length | Compounds needing intensive distributive mixing and controlled residence time |
| SHJ two-stage | Twin-screw mixing, single-screw pressure build-up | Heat- and shear-sensitive materials, PVC and XLPE cable compound |
| SJ single-screw | Low shear, steady conveying and pressure build-up | Film and scrap reclamation, tandem second stage |
As with every line we build, the equipment around the extruder is selected for the material and the required output:
Wear parts follow the same specification as the rest of our range: 45CrNiMoVA core shafts, W6Mo5Cr4V2 screw elements vacuum hardened to HRC 62–64, and barrels lined with a-101 wear-resistant alloy at HRC 60–64.
Screw diameter, L/D, screw speed, drive power and output for the triple-screw line are confirmed against your compound and target throughput. Send us your polymer, filler loading and required kg/h and we will return the model, screw configuration and pelletizing method with the quotation.
