Wood-Plastic Composite Production Lines

WPC COMPOUNDING & PROFILE PRODUCTION

Wood-Plastic Composite Production Lines

Integrated WPC systems combining raw-material preparation, compounding and downstream product forming.

Processing challenge

WPC materials combine polymer with wood flour or other lignocellulosic filler. Moisture control, feeding consistency, dispersion, venting and thermal management are critical.

Recommended equipment approach

The catalogue WPC line runs as a single pass: 1 high-speed mixer → 2 SJSH co-rotating twin-screw extruder → 3 SJ single-screw extruder → 4 profile die → 5 water cooling → 6 haul-off → 7 cutter → 8 finished product. The twin-screw stage disperses wood flour into the polymer and vents the moisture it carries; the single-screw stage then builds pressure at low speed and low melt temperature, so the compound reaches the die without scorching the lignocellulosic filler.

Two equipment routes are offered: a one-step line built on a single SJSH machine, or a two-stage SHJ package where the twin-screw and single-screw extruders are separately driven for higher output and tighter control.

Catalog reference values. Output depends on wood-flour type, moisture and loading, and on the profile being produced.

Typical materials

  • PE- or PP-based WPC formulations
  • Wood flour and compatible fillers
  • Coupling agents, lubricants and colour additives

Pelletizing and downstream

Depending on the final product route, the system may produce compound pellets or feed profile-extrusion and cutting equipment directly.
